Australia: The Great Adventure in Three Weeks


It took me sometime to create and complete the blog for my Australia trip. I am giving away leads or some of the places to see in Australia- Perth, Sydney, Cairns, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Sydney. Australia is a big country and there are still tons of places to go to. Here are just "some" of the places I have enjoyed seeing in three weeks.


PERTH

1. Guilderton River - A viewing deck with a park. The river meets the great Indian Ocean.

2. Cottesloe Beach - A popular place for snorkelling, swimming, kite surfing, surfing and sun bathing.

3. Kings Park and Botanical Garden - A landscape with the view of the city and Swan River. The botanical garden has wide varieties of Australian plants.

4. Hillarys Boat Harbour - Seaside boardwalks that allow the boats to be parked inside the networks of boardwalks. Along the boardwalks are retail shops and restaurants.

5. Fremantle Prison - This is now a World Heritage site, a former prison used for convicts from Britain.

6. Caversham Wildlife Park - A wild-life park run by a family featuring farms and 200 species of wild-life animals

7. Swan Valley Winery and Vineyards - 32km-stretched vineyard with over 200 attractions and 100 doors of wine and vineyard makers

8. Rottnest Island - An island offshore of Perth, known for quokka, an animal that can be found in this island. The island has several great white beaches.

9. The Pinnacles - A 200,000-year old gold/yellow limestone

10. Lancelin Sand Dunes - Place to enjoy sand surfing with friends, 4-wheel driving and many more.

MELBOURNE

1. The Great Ocean Road - A long stretch of road great for driving.

Address: Great Ocean Rd, Victoria, Australia

2. Flinders Street railway station - This serves the whole metropolitan network.

3. St Patrick's Cathedral - Gothic-styled Roman Catholic church.

4. Loch Ard Gorge - Part of Campbell National Park and is usually included in the Great Ocean Road tours.

5. Gibson Step - art of Campbell National Park and is usually included in the Great Ocean Road tours and it features cliffs like the one in 12 Apostles.

6. 12 Apostles- Part pf Port Campbell National Park, it features limestones formation and it used to be 12, due to some natural phenomenon, latest count is 7.

7. Airey’s Inlet, Split Point Lighthouse- It used to be called as Eagles Nest Point. This place shows a great landscape of a cliff with a lighthouse.

8. Graffiti Lane - A lane dedicated for great graffiti arts.

GOLD COAST

1. Surfers Paradise Beach

CAIRNS

1. The Esplanade - Recreational place for the locals. It includes swimming pools and lanes for retail shops and restaurants.

2. The Great Barrier Reef - A UNESCO World Heritage Site great for underwater activities.

1. The Opera House- Iconic place of Australia, situated beside the body of water.

2. Sydney Harbour Bridge- Another iconic place that connects the business district of Australia and the North shore

3. Bondi Beach - A popular beach near the business district which is great for sunbathing, board surfing and wind/kitesurfing.
